St. Louis has their chance last year when Boston was cap constrained to make a viable offer for Frederic. They had multiple second rounders and he likely could have been had for a reasonable return.

With him improving on his “fluke” shooting percentage, I think it’s time to start looking at him as the guy who was oegged as a third line who might be more than that.

Appreciate the somewhat fair trade that is dumping Campbell and picking up Binnington. But I think the Oilers are going to just avoid long termed expensive cap goalies all together. With Skinner and Pickard playing so well behind this defence, there’s no need to invest 6M cap into a goalie. The best course of action at this point, is just to buy Campbell out.
