Value is bad, or just not interested in Granlund/Duclair?

Rangers aren’t gonna use Kakko to dump goodrow and if they want duclair+, they would offer picks

Flyers don't need to spend assets on a goalie. They will be just fine with Petersen as their backup.

Fair enough.

Imo the trade market is very weak this year, so teamsn looking to add don't have many good options. It's going to inflate the value of some otherwise not incredible players.

I think if EDM is willing to retain 1.5 mil on campbell SJS is the perfect landing place for him.
1st, 2nd and 3.5mil x 3 Campbell probably works out.

It's roughly the same cost EDM is going to pay on a buy out but for only 3 years. SJS wants to tank anyhow and they will need a goalie once they let Korpi walk.

If retention was on Granlund they would consider (say 2m).

I don't see the Sharks burning their third retention slot for more than just this season, that would lock up all of them for next year as well. What if the 1st was a 2nd instead, or the Sharks sent back a 3rd?

If it changes to a 2nd they would probably consider; however, the biggest issue is cap space next year. If they know Chytil will 100% not be good next year, they make it. If he is, the cap will be hard to navigate with Granlund's deal to afford Lindgren & Schneider's new deals
