Henrique is probably ahead of Granlund in terms of who the avs would prefer but at this point i'd prefer some stiff corpses to RyJo, so i'd personally accept. We don't need MacDonald tho.

That’s way way too much for Edmonton to pay. Easy fast pass.

Jackets decline. Not enough for jiricek and doesn’t fit a need. Bordeleau is a nice piece but the jackets don’t have a need for him and the late first isn’t enough to entice the jackets to move jiricek. Only pieces I think the jackets would be interested in if jiricek were moved would be will smith or the sharks 24 first

Granlund has another year which would be a major selling point to the Avs who are pretty cap strapped. Having a solid 2nd line C / very good 3rd line C locked in at 3 mil for another year I feel would be very enticing for COL. I'd be happy to take RyJo back and add a 3rd going to the Sharks with conditions to upgrade if COL makes the WCFs.

Also, I think MacDonald is one of, if not THE most underrated players on the Sharks. He can literally slot in on Defense or Wing and be a very reliable player on both sides of the puck. He's crazy versatile and I could see him being a great depth add for a contender

Yeah and those pieces are non-starters. I think CBJ would be looking for an NHL ready C as well, not one that's still on the cusp.

I also think the Sharks could just trade up in the draft with that PIT 1st and their 2nd a few spots and take Parekh who's debatably as good of a prospect as Jiricek

yeah, I like the Granlund $ amount and his contract running out next year right when a rookie C could take over. i'm not opposed. I just think Henrique has higher upside this year.
MacDonald is awesome, I liked him a lot with the Avs and Eagles and I think he has tons of upside. we just have SO much defensemen depth rn

Hmm, I feel like Granlund has been the far better player than Henrique this year. The time to sell for ANA on Henrique was when Getz was still there and he was having that great year.

As for MacD, he's played primarily forward this year, but I feel like depth forwards also isn't the Avs issue. it's more the Middle/top 6 Center depth

i like both players. i wouldn't be mad with either at this point. I prefer Henrique by a small margin and i think the Avs FO does too.

I forget MacDonald does both. Still just not what the Avs need. Need a 2C, 4C, and BU goalie.

Not the worst 'band aid' option for the Avs (if they can move RyJo) when you take into account the retention but I'd prefer it to be the '24 1st if it happened.

Why would Edmonton trade out a top-4 defender at the deadline? They're gearing UP for the playoffs, not down.

And they wouldn't have any interest in Kakonen either. He'd be the 3rd best goalie in Edmonton, and at $2.75M, not very good value.

Saving $2M on Campbell while taking on a $2 75M 3rd goalie just isn't worth Ceci, Broberg and a 1st. Ridiculous.
