No real need for Frost, he's more of an offseason move. Ersson has stepped up big time, he's probably untouchable. A 1st for Laughton would be a great trade and a massive improvement down the middle and on the PK.

I'd make that move.

Throw Laughton at 4th line center until he picks it up and roll with the roaring 20s line as your 3rd line. Ersson is untouchable.

I have an idea for a super complex 5 teams trade that would result in the avs getting Henrique (75% retained) and Vanecek (50% retained) while giving up RyJo, a first and 2 fourth (for retention)

He had a monster game yesterday. put him next to Parise and Lekhy and watch that line cook.

I'm not the biggest Henrique fan, but the concept sounds like good value.

How’s his skating, though?

Laughton had one season playing above his mean; outside of his one outlier season, he's never shown himself to be more than a decent 3C. I guess at $2M it might be worth it to try and he'd be a better option than Joey but I think the Avs end up right back where they are now looking for a "real" 2C plus they're out the asset. Now, if Frost comes along (which I think is unlikely) that gets closer to it being a net positive but I have to ask: who replaces Byram?

I can't imagine the Flyers moving Ersson under any circumstances, but Frost + Laughton retained for Byram could be a framework for a trade
