    If you claim MacEwen, you're basically getting another Ryan Reaves.

    The only difference is their cap hits.

    To be fair to him, who was the last "ass-kicker" Ottawa brought in who actually kicked any amount of ass FOR Ottawa? Not including guys they drafted and developed. Is it Matt Kassian? Because going through the list, Mac, Watson, Haley, Brown, Gudbranson. They all became slugs when they got to Ottawa.

    maybe I'm misremembering but I feel like Gudbranson wasn't too bad at fighting with Ottawa. but yeah, only good fighters in recent years have been Chucky and Boro, and as you say, they were drafted and developed

    I love Boro to death, he was not a good fighter. Heart of a lion and hard as nails, but he lost most of his fights.

    To be fair to Ottawa, McEwen barely won any fights before joining the Sens.
