If the Kings did decide to trade PLD for Gallagher, it would only be because the latter's buyout only lasts 6 years instead of 14 and because it's structured in such a way that it actually would give the Kings a $333k cap benefit next season when they need the extra space. Gallagher wouldn't play a single game for the Kings.

If the front office gets fired, Bergevin goes too. If he was the architect of the PLD trade like most Montreal fans suggest that he was, then he'll likely get shown the door even before Blake.

Since opening the season 16-4-3, the Kings are 8-12-7, which is about 0.426% by my count.

I'm at a loss to understand it -- a team this good on paper shouldn't be that awful on the ice. And we can't complain about injuries, because we've only been missing Viktor Arvidsson.
