I think someone will want Johnson at half price and they'll be willing to pay a premium to pluck him off the clearance rack.

TB doesn't have the cap space to do Matta next season so pass. 50% retention would be required.

This is good, but I don't see us re-signing Sprong, and I expect us to buyout Petry.

I dont think this makes a lot of sense for the sharks, maybe a different team needs his services.

I seriously doubt Hanifin does a sign and trade unless he is traded to Boston.

I agree, Hawks retain 50% and get a late 3rd or 4th round pick for TJ.

I think there are a lot of people who assume he will sign with his hometown team.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if he was a hometown boy or if there were rumors like we've heard with Elias Pettersson.

He was born and raised in Boston and played college hockey for BC.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure so I figured I'd ask instead of assuming. Knowledge is power, except for when it's just pointless knowledge (which I'm full of lol).

Yeah but it's not just Boston fans and the Boston Media talking about him wanting to goto Boston. He could sign with another team but I doubt it's before he gets an offer from Boston.

Boston can 100% make that happen with cap space. They can trade one of their goalies and send Marchand to Providence to make the numbers work.
