    1. Not sure if the rangers do that

    2. Devils shouldn’t touch that with a 10 foot pole

    3. Jets wouldn’t touch that with a 100 foot pole

    4. Trade gets canceled out because Jets say hell no

Because we need help on the PP. Because we need help on the right side. Also the Jets were STUPID to trade him away in the first place. Him and Ehlers had great chemistry. Also with a player like Perfetti that line would be so much fun to watch. No brainer bringing Laine back.

How are you ok with keeping Schmidt and his contract? If we can get rid of that contract and bring in a player 1. who has played here before and loved it, 2. bring in a guy who can majorly help on the PP why dont you jump on that? Also getting a young RHD in Boqvist who can help the solidify the right side on defense. It's really a no brainer. Don't get me wrong I really like Iafallo but the left side is majorly crowded especially with Rutger due to make his appearance soon.

If Laine wants to go back, that's fine, Columbus should facilitate a trade...but the main return can't be a couple of 30-year-olds, no matter how good they are. Send Schmidt for the cap, let him play 2nd or 3rd LD, and make it a 2nd straight up instead of dealing Iafallo too. We'd want something for Laine, not something to retain on to flip.

There's no way NJ accepts that deal, Holtz and Vanecek alone would be enough IMO. I doubt NJ wants to part with Holtz for any reason though.

Because Schmidt only has one more year, can be bought out cheaply if needed and is far better than Boqvist. While Laine isn't waiving to come back to Winnipeg and as another expensive winger is a luxury, not a need. The Jets have appeared to have fixed their dysfunctional dressing room, they're not going to bring back a player that was part of that dysfunction. He's also way overpaid for what he provides.

The Jets need to fix long term holes at 2C and 1 RHD before they consider adding another expensive player to their deepest position.

    It's just poor asset management.

Did it for cap purposes in WIN.

Figured Iafallo can be flipped for the asset you mentioned.

You probably right on the NJ deal. I put the pick in because Provorov. I think he's a bit undervalued from your perspective but I do get your take for sure.

Schmidt would be the next TDL piece.

Gonna say you are under valuing Laine. Jets need more goals. He solves that. Schmidt's cap hit is bad. They need a RHD. Boqvist solves that. If anything, I think it favors WIN the more I look at it.
