Jack does not return a first under any circumstance. Prov9 is definitely worthy it due to points, half retention/ cap hit and ability which is overshadowed by other variables, Jack has been piss poor under Vincent and wasn’t great under brad. More likely a late pick sadly.

No to Provorov, his salary (even retained) carries into next season and gives us less room to resign Stamkos this offseason.

We aren't giving up a first for a forward who's not good defensively and would be our 11th highest producing forward by PPG.

Jackets should hold on to Provorov. He still has another year and is a decent dman. No sense in trading him, making the defense worse and setting the rebuild back. Wait until next year when he is an expiring contract. If the Jackets are too far out of it they can trade him then with only 1 year of 50% for a higher return. I think he's much more likely to bring a 1st at next year's deadline.
