It is definitely hyperbole, but the sentiment remains true. I have seen the same line of thinking many times by Leafs fans who lowball trade for a player, get denied, then claim the other player sucks anyways when they had the player slotted into a significant role.

It's been like the same 3 people making Parayko mock trades, the rest of the fans know he's not worth it.

Then incoming blues fans with "ermm my player is not available" on a mock trade site

I think this extends past parayko though. There are plenty of examples of Leafs fans making outlandish trades. I saw one person ask Pittsburg to retain about 23 million on Karlsson and Guentzel for basically two first round picks and Robertson.

meh, every fanbase has those fans. i just try not to take this site all that serious. some people spend all day on here treating it like its life or death.

True. I don't take the site seriously either, there is just such a dispraportinate amount of Leaf Fans

There is not a disproportionate number of Leaf fans in this site; it’s pretty representative. I know it rankles fans of other teams but Leafs have the biggest fanbase in the league, no team close other than maybe Habs & they are probably underrepresented here due to language.
It is what it is; with such a large fanbase there is also wide spectrum of opinions; this looks like a ‘half in jest’ proposal but while he doesn’t suck, I’m of the opinion that Parayko is not what Leafs should target - his contract (aav + term) and acquisition cost make him a terrible trade candidate
