Combination of two things: At 5v5 they're very good--fifth in the league, in fact!--but they're dreadful on both special teams. And two, they're a net neutral in GD in the first and second periods and something like -40 in the third period. That combines to give us the record we've got.

What would a Laine trade to PIT look like? I mean I'd take the shot on him, could use a sniper esp if we lose Guentzel imo...

I think that Los Angeles would rather spend the $2.9 million on a free-agent goalie rather than trade Koehn Ziemmer for Merzlikins.
