Description
Novak solid in transition and defensively. Should solidify that 3rd line as a great checking line.
Vatrano should add some scoring punch to the mika line. Hopefully 20 and 93 can cover up how bad vatrano is defensively.
Any left handed defenseman should be better than gus

NSH declines.

1. Local Nashville reporters are reporting that NSH is actively working to sign Novak now, so I doubt NSH is going to trade someone they see as a long term piece.

2. Novak would cost more than a late 2nd round pick. You are looking at a late 1st round pick for Novak.

Novak is the opposite of a checking forward. Don't think he'd fit that role well at all. However, I doubt he's moved, especially for less than a 1st

One of the all-time worst takes I've ever seen on CapFriendly. Anaheim counters with a 2024 fourth for Will Cuylle.

Frankie Vatrano plays defense so horribly that he's been on ice during the penalty kill only long enough to amass exactly the same number of short-handed goals and points as Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad, who lead the Rangers in that category. And as to "not producing" at 5-on-5: he would be tied for fifth on the Rangers in even-strength goals and sixth on the Rangers in even-strength points. And there are some subtle indications which shouldn't escape even you that the Rangers are a better team than the Ducks.
