For raanta, I’ll require a very solid 7th rounder. If raanta is okay with being traded that is. Canes will likely respect his wishes.

Thank God for that! Fleury would never have been the answer imo. Swayman won't be available, at least not at a price the Avs can afford, and re-signing him wouldn't be possible unless we decided to move Georgie so it almost defeats the purpose. Can't see the Sharks wanting to move Blackwood plus he has an extra year. Kahkonen would be more logical there. Staying with Finns, Lankinen might be available from Nashville, and Raanta isn't a bad shout either. All would probably work well with our goalie coach. Allen should be a no with the extra year. Even with retention he's too expensive going forward.

I never thought Flower was on the table. The only goalies there that will certainly be on the table are Blackwood and Allen. How about a certain Alex Nedeljkovic?

A 2nd for Blackwood.

Sharks would rather trade Kahkonen because he"s a UFA. That would give the Av's more flexibility at the end of the season as well. He's more likely to re-sign with the Av's than the Sharks. Kahkonen also worth a 2nd.

I don't think Kahkonen gets a 2nd but agree with the rest of your reasoning. I'd be surprised if the Sharks moved Blackwood tbh.

I agree. The Sharks keep Blackwood as their potential longterm #1 goalie. Not sure if the Sharks trade Kahkonen for less than a 2nd. If they can re-sign him. That goalie tandem has been the lone bright spot in an unwatchable season.

Toronto has three goalies just saying. Could give you a solid back up for low round pick

The Sharks would trade both Labanc AND Hoffman for Raanta. Deal?

Seriously, Kahkonen for a 2nd plus Raanta. If he approves.

Yeah, I think from what I've seen (limited this year tbf) of Blackwood he looked very good behind a poor team in front of him. If I were the Sharks GM I'd want to keep a hold of him. His stats don't tell the true story, more just how bad the team in front of him is I'm afraid. I like Kahkonen but any rental back up goalie (it's unlikely the Avs can afford to re-sign him) shouldn't cost a 2nd, especially with so many potentially available. That would simply be bad asset management imo. Tbh if the Sharks believe he's worth that then they would probably be best off keeping him and re-signing him and having a decent tandem for a while longer.

I actually meant to add Ned, but I guess the trade didn't go through or something

2 months ago canes were probably all over KK. With Andersen coming back, Pyotr’s top 10 stats since mid December, and Martin having a .930 sv percentage in 4 starts, I don’t think we are in the goalie discussion anymore.
