No one...

Because that offer was dead on arrival the second Guerin hears it.

Minnesota isn't moving a 22 year old top-six center for a 32 year old, FORMER, top-six center.

I can see why Rossi doesn't get moved but if you think Nelson isn't currently a top 6 guy then you're I think you're just unfamiliar with who Brock Nelson is

I never said he wasn't still a top-six player. I know damn well who he is.

But it's also true that he primary plays on the wing these days. So by that metric, he is still in point of fact. A FORMER top-six center. The key detail in all this, is the former CENTER bit.

Nelson has played almost all of the season at center for the Islanders at 5v5. Nelson plays on the wings on the PP for the Islanders and played his first game on the wing for the entire game. I don't think this trade would ever happen but to say that he isn't a center is just wrong in this case.

Nelson has played wing for 4 periods this season, he was the 2C until the 3rd period against Tampa on Sunday

Yeah this is a hard pass from Minnesota. Rossi is a top 5 rookie and shaping up to be our 2C of the future. He's 22 with a lot of potential still. Brock is a solid 2C right now, but is 32 and costs millions more than Rossi even with retainment. This trade is DOA.

He just played his first game of the season as a winger last night....? And he's a more than proven 35 goal scorer.

Nelson is not a winger, he’s a center. He’s one of the best goal scoring centers in the NHL
