Settle downnnn the Jets arnt going anywhere people are over reacting. Lots of the problems will be fixed over this summer and hopefully this years playoff push will push more excitement next season. They will be just fine

There’s no doubt there’s a decrease is ticket sales but this is all coming up due to new city’s that are wanting nhl teams such as salt lake, Houston etc … that would be all more profitable for the NHL compared to the profit coming from the Jets

Chipman will do his job this summer and they’ll update the game production and create a way fans want to come to games not just for hockey but for the other things around the rink and the atmosphere. They’ll also have to make a way for fans to have fun whether the Jets win or lose just like the Bombers have done over the years.

I’m confident we’ll see big changes

Simple math on this also, ownership investment from rink/condos/cut from shark club, and whatever else they have downtown, simply doesn’t overly work without the 40 dates a year jets. But let’s say they put the team on the market to be moved, league isn’t going to allow Quebec City period, only option is probably North Toronto new rink, but between Ottawa, and Toronto, that wouldn’t be allowed either. So for the sale route, min price would be a billion, move it to a location with a newish rink, probably another 1/2 billion. 1/2 billion into the club, sitting there with a 2 billion ish investment and what cities evaluation going to ensure at least a 2 plus billion evaluation? Along with the fact that all the other owners much prefer splitting 3/4 of a billion expansion fee over any relocations. Owners better not cry wolf too many times, but this one may work, as long as they make some changes along with the corporate crowd, got to toughen up that ticket, instead of such a soft ticket, never should have killed the secondary market, and some of the other markets that could prop up the demand on tickets when it is lagging. From a die hard jets fan

If Bettman shows up to today's "fireside chat" with a pipe and a smoking jacket, I am buying tickets.

I didn't realize (until looking it up) that True North Square, when completed, will be 1.5 million square feet of office, hotel, residential, retail, food hall, parking and public plaza space in five towers. The office tower would be fine without the Jets, but the others wouldn't fare so well.

Always get a weird vibe in Winnipeg barn, seen games in Calgary/edmonton/vegas/arizona/Chicago/minneapolis and Winnipeg is the only barn that makes it feel like they are doing you a favour to let you in. Some of the other rinks seem a little more entertained to see you. Possibly all in my head, but now that I have read some of the fan complaints, it kind of dons on me, the differences.

The vibe is like you are going through an airport built in the 40s. Very utilitarian... get in the building, get a coffee, find your seat, watch.

Possibly so much riffraff downtown security has to deal with, that they don’t seem to have much sense of humor, or tolerance for anything at all. Tough to question, but just seems to need more of a welcoming atmosphere and not such a get every last dollar possible. Got to get a little more creative with give aways and thankful for the fans. A little too taken for granted, but a work in progress that can be fixed.

I remember one game in the early years, that they gave out bags of tim horton's ground coffee as you left the building. grin

You said everything that needs to be said. I’m just worried about Houston. They have a multimillionaire owner of their NBA team who is on record as meeting with the league and wanting a team. They could go to two more expansion teams between Houston and Salt Lake or they could move Arizona to one and the Jets to the other.

Your not wrong, but the drive of other owners and them wanting a cut of expansion, I think even keeps them propping up Arizona, so probably be rather sour, if it turns into two relocations. Also such an investment of real estate slash lottery revenue would be cut if the jets ever moved. Possibly even a fire sale, with the loss of such a strong name in Winnipeg. Possibly need a name change or at least a president/ceo change of corporation running day to day on rink and moose. I don’t see it Arizona then Winnipeg either, Winnipeg probably in bottom third. Just in population and size of rink, but there is still the floridas, Carolina’s, Columbus of the league, a dumpster fire away from chaos also. Still remember the wear a Halloween costume, get a free ticket promo in Columbus. Just imagine the chaos if they pulled a stunt like that in Winnipeg lol. Sky isn’t close to falling in Winnipeg.
