Yikes that columbus trade is awful for the leafs, there isnt a single thing in there worth robertson let alone a 1st, minten or any combination of them

Think this might be the first CBJ/TOR trade I've seen in weeks where the Leafs are the ones getting robbed.

There's a lot of spare parts, but the 1st alone is roughly equal to everything Columbus is sending back. But using a 1st to get a collection of mid/depth players isn't really the move either, value aside.

Yeah, but it ties up two retention slots for at least two years. And that impedes the team’s ability to do much of anything else for a while.

This. It's not great for the Jackets and awful for the Leafs.
