If Greenway is getting moved, it's to fill a need with an active NHL roster player.

Incidentally, shipping Greenway creates a brand new need, and filling it with anyone you have on your 3rd line doesn't cut it.

He isn't awful, had 82 last year. But yea if Buffalo wants out of that contract:

A) Have to pay to dump
B) Have to take salary back (at least 4 mil for a somewhat fair deal)
C) Sell very low (mid round pick)

Yea, he is at a 0.72 ppg. Not bad, but for 9 million it is horrible. Buffalo had no choice but to give him that contract since he decided to score 40 in his first year there
