Seguin to LTIR

Created by: tdash11
Team: 2023-24 Dallas Stars
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 28, 2024
Published: Feb. 28, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
maybe Borque fills the Seguin void and they don't add up front, but I'm just having fun here.
Trades
1.
DAL
  1. Buchnevich, Pavel
Additional Details:
I don't know what the buchnevich price is but with Seguin out, they need another person to play with duchesne and marchment. A first and an NHL ready prospect seems good?
STL
  1. Dellandrea, Ty
  2. 2024 1st round pick (DAL)
2.
DAL
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
The Price Tag is probably a little high but Chicago doesn't have a plethora of offensive minded defensemen but they do have 3 2nd round picks
3.
DAL
  1. Tanev, Christopher
Additional Details:
I think with Seguin to LTIR the Stars are able to take on the full Tanev contract thus lowering the price tag a little bit.
CGY
  1. Grushnikov, Artem
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (LAK)

Zero chance Armstrong takes that offer. Add a more promising prospect and he might consider. Dellandrea is an NHL ready depth forward. Not much value.

Can we really call Lundkvist and his 35 points in 128 career games an “offensive” defenseman?

Having said that since he is a RHD I find it highly unlikely the Stars would be looking to trade Lundkqvist however, the Hawks may have an interest for a little lesser price then A 2nd round pick.

Went and looked at mock trades and I agree with you, seeing a first a third and two prospects as the price tag, which is a haul.

Think that's a bit light on Tanev, I think he ends up in Dallas
But they end up moving a better pick/player/prospect to do so

Yeah, that offer is rather insufficient. And for the Blues to trade Buch to the Stars, it would need be a stellar offer.

Lian Bischel would probably be part of any Buch trades to Stars.

Army will not trade him for divisional rival, because he believe this team can compete with retool on the fly (yes, its a bit delusional).

Hawks easily decline. Lundkvist is Ian Mitchell 2.0. Hawks shipped Mitchell out. Can't see them spending a pick to bring in his clone. Far better options to fill the 3rd pair RD.

I wouldn't go that far. He is better than Mitchell. But yeah, I can't see CHI spending a 2nd on him. They might take him back as a piece of a larger deal.
