I was thinking this. Even if there’s a super fair deal, it does just look awful cause of how it all went.

Rangers had weird choices to make having a super full roster -and- picking super high draft picks. It was guaranteed to create an issue, no matter which way it went.

In the end, it worked out for all. Buchnevich got ice-time the rangers couldn’t give him and succeeded. I’d have picked laf and kakkos development over Buchnevich too.
