I agree on Geekie and Sprong. I also wanted Jesper Boqvist.

How did you acquire Kostin? The price for Kostin was taking back the 3 million dollar Yamamoto contract, then Detroit bought out Yamamoto

I wouldn’t have minded a few of these names, but you can’t force a player to sign to your team. It’s not like PIT was exactly trending in the right direction last season. Dubas could have offered some of these guys, but they chose to sign elsewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. We’ll never know.

Getting younger was the clear move in my mind. And then they traded for Smith (who I like) and Karlsson and signed a bunch of older guys. The offseason made zero sense to me.

Let's be honest. Pits is doing EXACTLY how we assumed they would. Bubble team going into the year.

Yeah I think people keep forgetting this exact fact. I would've liked to have a few of these guys as well, but they absolutely have to want to sign.

Detroit didn't qualify him, but did sign him for more than his qualifying offer on July 1st, a deal they probably already negotiated. Obviously kostin was not just available to sign in free agency, Detroit has him because they traded for him
