Canucks decline. They aren't moving Lekkerimaki, both him and Willander are off limits. Any deal that starts with one of them ends there as well.

No chance Vancouver does that, Patrick Alvin will never trade away a Swede, if they're going for an elite winger it's gonna be Guentzel

If we are going to trade Perunovich why not get a RD like Soderstrom back in a prospect swap.

Perunovich is a ufu unless he plays in almost all of remaining games so beggars cannot be choosers

They also don't have to hand him to a rival for peanuts. Are we even sure he wants to leave?

Actually, I was only here to see how many VAN fans thought you meant Elias the C. grin

Not sure exact number of games but he can’t miss many more. Sitting in the press box like last game doesn’t help.

Wouldn’t call a second rd pick peanuts. No - also not sure the Blues want to resign him, but I’d probably want to leave if I were him to get more opportunity.

A 2nd rounder isn't peanuts. A 2nd rounder giving back a 3rd kinda is. Especially for a rival. At least toss him far away. Or get some real value back, like Soderstrom.

Again - the Blues very likely might lose him for nothing. I’m not as worried about rivals as you. Just know Arizona has zero dmen signed to nhl contracts next year.

I'm not catching what Arizona's lack of signed Dmen has to do with it. Sounds like all the more reason to not be so generous. And who cares what I think os trading things to rivals, what matters is what the Blues do. And what they don't typically do is trade players that can come back to haunt to rivals. Especially ones as annoying as Arizona have been to us for a few years. There's lots of teams around.

so looking at GMBA track record with AZ dont see small D as his MO, maybe he does like the kid IDK. he is also now 25 and has 52 total NHL games 0G 18A

Perunovich has had a lot of injuries. He's very offensively talented and has a lot of upside. He won the Hobey Baker for best player in college hockey back in the day. He's great at QBing power play. He's basically a younger Torey Krug - in his prime. Bill Armstrong liked him enough to draft him back in day. Whether or not he would still have interest - I don't know. Not giving up much here though. Just think the Blues might move him.

He needs to play in 14 of remaining 23 games to remain a RFA. Thought it was more.

I feel like that’s attainable. He’ll play against Minnesota for sure

Yeah - I thought it was more for some reason. Hoping he can stay healthy and in the line up.

We have 4 games until the TDL so if he is sitting at 10/19, then I doubt we move him. But if it’s something like 13/19 or even 14/19 then I think you contemplate it.
