The closest thing I could think of was Tkachuk. Pesce, Necas, first, something else.

Remind me not judge a player on an outlier. Also much older player lol

Panthers laughing to the bank while Huby is also also. However the Flames probably shed a tear with every cheque he cashes.

Nucks wanted Necas for Horvat, so it probably starts with Necas and a 1st round pick.

Uhhh... Canucks being delusional for Horvat is one thing, but Necas + 1st as a starting point for EP40, even to me, seems light no? I've done packages before including Morrow, Necas, 1st, and the 2nds. I dont know if that's enough, but Canucks wanting Necas for Horvat has no affect here. That's delusional at its peak

The same time EP40 had a 40 goal season. Tkachuk isn't the comparable here, Eichel is. Same caliber of player, around the same age, Eichel had issues with his neck, but EP40's got issues with his contract

Canucks are competing, if they did move Petey they'd want a Tkachuk-style return focused on assets that can help them win now rather than futures. My guess is they'd start the ask with one of Aho/Svechnikov, and I assume both would be off limits. Those two aside, I'd have to think the more realistic ask would start with Necas, Pesce, and the Canes 24 1st.

Aho and EP40 are the same caliber of player, that would be a lateral swap for the Canes. Necas 1st Pesce could be workable, I've done Necas, Morrow 1st, Drury deals in the past

Yeah, I'd give Petey the edge offensively but Aho definitely beats him defensively. It would be a lateral move that doesn't really make sense for the Canes. Necas, Drury, Morrow, 1st is probably pretty similar value wise to Necas, Pesce, 1st. I just think the 2nd offer would fill the Canucks needs better and I think it's the kind of move they'd be more interested in, but I wouldn't be opposed to the value in either of those deals.
