What more do you want than a 1st and 3rd? The other 3rd is for taking RyJo.

I honestly feel so bad for him. He’s such a great player he deserves to choose whatever he’d like. If he wants to stay, great, if not let him choose the teams he’d be okay with going to and get the most you can. Definitely should get a 1st and prospect for him, almost ppg at his age is crazy.

Giroux declined to go to the Avs when he went to FLA. Can't see him changing his mind now.

Different situation then vs now, from what i had heard giroux went to FLA for the more agreeable playing time, colorados PP1 taking up 75-80% of the good minutes was mackinnon, Kadri, landeskog, rantanen and makar.

Colorados 1st line was the best in the league. He may have felt that he'd have more of an impact on the panther team.

Today giroux immediately kicks drouin off the top PP and possibly gets 5V5 with mack and rantanen

He picked Ottawa for more than just himself. Doesn't seem like the kind of guy to put himself before his family just to chase a cup that he still might not get a chance at.

If Ottawa is in the same situation next year, I could see him moving as it would only be a few months and the whole family won't have to move. But with a year left on his deal, I don't think there's a chance of him moving this year

It's possible but I would say unlikely. I'm also not saying I wouldn't like it. Just can't see it happening.
