To be honest this isn’t remotely close for ANA.

Henrique should net a 1st alone (see Lindholm/Monahan).

You added prospects who have effectively no value. So the Ducks leading scorer and all star Vatrano who’s on pace for 35-40 goals for our terrible team is worth a 2nd? While on a $3.6M contract with another year left?

TJ nets a 4th without retention and retaining on Henrique nets a 4th. Chicago has better and younger options at LD than Jones so no thanks. Chicago counters with Johnson 50% retained and 50% retention on Henrique for 2nd round pick.

Getting Henrique with retention and Vatrano is probably costing us Kakko and at least a conditional second. It would maybe even need a 3rd party for Henrique

It’s complicated deal but it’s definitely been out there in rumors

Seravalli wrote this today regarding Henrique: "The Ducks are reportedly looking for second and third-round picks, plus another third-round pick to retain half."

NYR don't really have the picks to make that work, but I think 1 1st is a greater value than the 1 2nd & 2 3rds reported above. Prospects probably need to be improved.

Hawks easily decline. Jones has no value to the Hawks and they likely aren't burning a retention slot for a 5th round pick.

I think that value is too high for TJ. He needs retention to make sense anywhere. 2 4ths and mid-tier prospect would be the highest I'd go for that.

It's a retention slot for 5 months. Who else would they be using one of their 2 remaining retention slots on during that time?

Hawks have 3 pending UFA's who they could potentially trade and retain on that get better returns than a 5th - Johnson, Beauvillier and Blackwell. And if they are going to act as a 3rd party, they'll target a bigger dollar deal that returns better than a 5th.

You could be right about TJ's value. It's subjective but a team could get desperate. It happens every TDL. Maybe if the prospect was swapped out with someone Chicago would have interest in. The pipeline is loaded with LD. In fact they've got LD in Rockford playing the right side.

    Maybe someone like Bryce McConnell-Barker?
