this exactly. lots of people dont understand that PHI isnt really that close to the cap. Ellis is on IR not LTIR in order to accrue cap space.

Caps won't pay a 2nd to get rid of Kuzy. They'll probably buy him out in the summer, or trade him fully retained for another contract.
