Honestly I think that Devils trade is very fair. Bahl + 2024 1st for Pettersson and Holtz for Jarry. IMO, you could probably get another pick back or Schmid

Holtz was on table for retained Markstrom. Looks like that’s changed to Holtz for unretained Markstrom. Jarry is younger and cost controlled for 4 more years after this. Don’t think we’d see any retention. If possible, I’d love to ship Vanecek back even half retained

I doubt Fitzy would move that heavily off. I imagine it’s a different package entirely for an unretained Markstrom

I'd rather the Jets acquire a depth defender than depth forwards . If McGroarty turns pro, that could be a useful addition to the forward group and Lambert is having a good season in the AHL. I don't think there would be much interest in Harkins, as the Jets put him on waivers and when they could have reclaimed him a few weeks later, they didn't.
