Description
I wish there was a way to keep Drury and trade KK, but don't think anyone will want him and the long term commitment. Henrique is slight upgrade as 2C but also gives veteran experience for playoff run. Buch would be a heck of a fit in RBA's system. Canes might also add Murrow or another draft pick in that deal.

Sadly that probably doesn't get you Henrique with retention. Good for the Canes though!

Pass on the Ducks trade. Rental Henrique, a minimal upgrade if that, isn't worth that to Carolina. Buchnevich is fine, and no reason to trade Lemieux

I think Buch could be done for something closer to Drury, Morrow and 2024 1st.

Yeah, probably right. But Canes aren't likely to do a rental unless it's a good deal for them.

I'd love to see Canes swing bigger on 2C upgrade. But that would almost certainly mean they can't afford to add Buch too.

I've said before they don't need a 2C upgrade, KK's fine. They need to buy him a goal or 10.

Imagine using size to determine a players value instead of skill. Zellweger's only 5'9, guess he's a bum. We'll take him for a 7th

KK's the 4th line center now because Drury has outplayed him. And KK's still underperforming as a 4C - he should be getting favorable matchups and he's not doing much with those. He's still young but Canes made a bad decision to extend him long term.

That’s not what it is fella

Look at who Pat has drafted — all over 6’0, but nice try

Hey, buddy is sick though! Coast All-Star!

I would not even accept that. Combine the value of Drury and Morrow into one piece, and then we'll talk. Maybe that's just me.

Unless we find a time machine for Mario, I'm cool with never seeing a Lemieux in a Red Wings' jersey, thanks.

I mean I think Nikishin would be the only way to do that and I can't see the Canes moving him. We have different opinions on Morrow, which I can respect and understand the propensity to turnovers worries me, but I still think he could be a future top pairing D.

Henrique deal isn't awful but Robidas likely doesn't move the needle for ANA as the second asset.

Yeah anyone with an IQ above 5 knows that KK isn’t a 2C. Caniac has stockholm syndromed himself because it’s a bad contract that the team is stuck with

I guess I'm a bigger KK fan than most on this site. I still think he has potential especially defensively, but yea some people overrate him. Again, I like him, but his offensive production is nowhere near the level of a 2C on a cup contending team. We need more firepower there if we want to seriously compete for a cup.

LMAO, what? KK's been fine. An xG/60 of more than 3 is incredible. His issue is that he's been chronically unlucky, not that he's been bad. He's playing well in all three zones and just cannot buy a goal right now because his confidence is in the toilet. He'll be fine. He's outplayed Drury all year.

Brind'Amour disagrees with you. Look at the playing time of Drury vs KK since January.

Here are the number of shifts and Time on Ice of Drury versus KK in recent games:
Against Columbus:
Drury 17 shifts, TOI 16 mins
KK 13 shifts, TOI 10 mins

Against Minnesota:
Drury 17 shifts, TOI 15 mins
KK 14 shifts, TOI 9 mins

Against Vegas:
Drury 19 shifts, TOI 14 mins
KK 15 shifts, TOI 9 mins

I don't care, Brind'amour's known to be a TRASH game manager. His solution to get Aho and Svech scoring was JESPER F**KING FAST. He cannot manage deployments and should not be a head coach. He needs help. If that's the only argument you've got, stop it.
