    Nice one
    Make sens for me

I see on the third line :
    Newhook Johansen Roy

( for a short term, the reward is good enough to do it )

So you can start next year with
    Mathesson Ghule
    Xhekaj Mailloux
    Struble Ceci

Not sure that Savard is much more than a lateral move on Ceci. Sell me on why the Oilers would pay a first rounder plus Ceci?

What am I missing that Savard brings to the table that he would move the needle for the Oilers?

If you're taking Johansen as a dump, you can't retain on the return. You'll need the slot used on Allen to flip Ryjo next season.

I'd imagine Hawks won't burn one of their two retention slots for next season for anything less than a 2nd.

Maybe he is better. He is not enough better to net your a first round pick. He netted Detroit a fourth 3 years ago at the trade deadline, and played on the Lightenings 3rd pair. He is 3 years older now.

His career stats are very similar to Ceci, and he has been injury prone.

No way I would pay a first for him.

CHI declines. If his contract was expiring after this season a 3rd would probably cover it, but he has one more season after the current one on his deal.
