Ullmark has gotta cost more than that. Swap the 2nd with a 1st. Turcotte had some crazy value before, but he's 23 now... if he was gonna be something high value I think it would've shown by now. At least in some kind of flash.

I'd also probably attempt to upgrade some defense before giving Sprong 2.5mil.

Or...if the Hawks actually want Grundstrom, they keep that pick and wait until July to sign him as a UFA after he isn't qualified by the Kings.

Or, do they pay for the RFA rights cause no one wants to willingly go to that team rn flushed cheeks

Hawks have a TON of cap space. If you write a big enough check, guys will sign. See Nick Foligno and Corey Perry last off season. And the Hawks wouldn't spend a 3rd on another 4th liner anyway. They have plenty already.

That is a very shortsighted and naive assumption. CHI is still an iconic original 6 team, with an exciting future, world class facilities, deep pockets and tons of cap space, all in a destination city. If you think players wouldn't want to go to CHI, you have no clue what you are talking about.

The only reason we don't have players right now is entirely by design. It's a tear down/tank/rebuild.

Lol no offense, but I've lived in the States the entirety of my life, on the east and west coasts at different times, and not once have I heard ANYONE call Chicago a "destination city" hahahaha.

LOL no offense, I live in California and Chicago 100% is a top destination city in the US (#3rd largest), and especially for hockey is a top spot; but who knows you might be new to hockey!

So how exactly is it you know that no one wants to go to Chicago? You on personal speaking terms with a bunch of NHL players are you ? You’re confusing your fan opinions with facts.

“No offense but I’m going to laugh at you” yeah that always works well.
It’s all about the circle of people in your life. I’ve met plenty of people who mentioned wanting to visit Chicago over my life time ( live in Buffalo btw ).

Cool story. I've lived in CHI and met people from all over the world who would consider Chicago a destination city. It does not require your approval.

I mean, that wasn't my quote lol.

I just found it a funny statement, given my personal life experiences. When someone laughs at a joke, they're not laughing at the person who made the joke. The fact that you get so defensive about it says enough.

I didn’t get defensive, just made some observations of your opinion. You started out with “lol” & ended with “hahahahaha”. You obviously found what he said funny but he didn’t say it as a joke.
