I agree with the idea, but he won't cost that much. No need to include Minten.

Its an interesting idea, but Kampf's contract length is a dealbreaker. Domi instead?

Maybe Jarnkrok.

Niemala on top of Minten is probably too much but I wouldn't complain.

i was mulling this over too tbh, it makes a ton of sense considering the leafs desperately need a 2c this summer in a historically bad fa class. 200ft player and if you put him with willy the offence probs starts to come back too. i just don't know if the leafs move that 1st when they need a rhd so bad. minten wouldn't be in this deal

imo if the choices are a 1st+ for lindholm vs a 1st for someone like walker or savard, it's a no brainer. just get the better player (by far), take your chances with this d-corps, and try fixing it again in the summer

also have to wonder if dubas is willing to do this supposed three-way trade if it involves toronto. lotta bad blood between him and shanny, does he really wanna do him a favour? i'm not sure

I really doubt Van's gonna trade the guy they just traded for when it makes no sense

Either guy they go get would be a rental anyways so why waste more assets. As BOS wont give yah what u gave for him in the first place

Either guy they go get would be a rental and Lindholm has fit well with the Canucks

chris johnston said today that the canucks are looking at flipping lindholm to boston in a 3 way trade to get guentzel from pittsburgh, so that's where op is getting the idea from

leafs don't need to move any salary, if its a 3 way deal pittsburgh would presumably eat half his cap hit for a sweetener. minten definitely wouldn't be involved in this deal but i still don't think it'll happen for various other reasons

If we trade Lindholm it’s to upgrade. Not to take on a multi year cap dump in Kampf

Its more like he said potentially rather than just looking. As potential and looking be different

Exploring all options is fine but I doubt they do it due to BOS probs not giving them what they gave for Lindholm meaning they will lose assets on top of the ones they will spend for Guentzel.

Not a smart move by them
