Gonna need a lot more than that for Lindholm, would have to be a 1st at least to downgrade from Lindholm to Toffoli

Toffoli and Lindholm values shouldn’t be that far apart. Maybe a single 2nd round pick.

Can easily wait until July 1st and based on his current situation, I’d say Boston is a better option than Vancouver in terms of opportunity and fit. Part of me wonders if Lindholm playing on the third line in Vancouver will actually reduce his price in July.

Also, Toffoli is outplaying Lindholm by a pretty significant margin and plays a bigger position of need for Vancouver.

You are getting two second round picks to offset and keep your prospects that you’d have to add for Guentzel.

4.1 vs 3.3 PPG/60
7 to 8 points better with Fenwick and Corsi
86th percentile vs 49th percentile in wins above replacement %

You sure Lindholm is better for Vancouver?

I’d try and negotiate that 2nd down to a 3rd but I’d do it.

Ullmark has late 1st+3rd of value imo. Toffoli has late 1st of value, Schmid has about a 3rd of value, and then a 3rd. And id retain this year on toffoli to take out said 3rd

VAN should accept that IMO, then extend Toffoli.

I think the primary difference in our opinion is negligible, but I think some of the value differences might be driven with and without retention … and frankly degree of need

Yeah, we are 100% in agreement over value i think, just haggling over minor details.

I will say all three teams would be better off with this deal in place both this year and probably next.
