i mean it was pretty expected his NTC would play a huge factor. i thought a second-round pick would have been his max return even from an ability standpoint

To be fair...they may have received a 1st if they could have traded him anywhere, but they did right by the player and accommodated his wishes. It's two free picks for a guy that wasn't coming back no matter what...I've already moved on...bigger fish to fry with this team now.

To not even get a 2nd or prospect is embarrassing. Great for other teams looking to add, though. Prices are always lower than "we" expect, but that is an abysmal return.

I recently saw Florida bury Detroit.

There's no better team in the NHL right now.

Defense is definitely not a problem.

cant do much if Vlad only want to go to FLA. Zito knows the sens are going to get whatever they can for him, tarasenko had no future with us past this year

Sorry, that's a good point. I didn't realize he had a full NTC. Not sure why they did that. Admittedly, I don't think anyone saw this poor season coming, so I guess they didn't care at the time figuring they won't need to trade him. They should be in the playoffs on paper.
