Gudas is entirely unavailable. He’s our best Dman, and the perfect RD pair for our developing LD. He’s also our only RD under contract next year

We have zero, and I mean zero, interest in adding a LD. He will quite honestly never play a hockey game for ANA with Fowler, Montyukov, Lacombe, Vaakanainen, and Zellweger already there.

It would take a biiiig overpayment to reel in Gudas, who is almost certainly the least likely ‘veteran’ to be moved in ANA. This is not remotely close

Are you being serious? Lacombe is not actually a big offensive presence, there’s no way he makes sense anywhere but LD. Zellweger has played surprisingly good defense (as in what he does in his own zone off the puck), there’s no way I’d risk his development right now.

If we need forwards that’s what the Gulls are for. Nesterenko, Regenda etc can get some reps

Gudas would be a nice add to the Wings but he signed a full NMC knowing he wasn't going to the playoffs so I don't think he has any interest in moving. Either way not enough for the Ducks consider moving him.

Idk why people love to hate on Fabbri, he gets injured but he is a good 3rd line scorer who plays aggressively for being under 6', can fill in at C. Can make the overpay argument but per this trade $3Mx2 is fair value.

Seems like a fair offer for Crouse, I think Arizona wants prospects over picks but they do seem to love picks so who knows.

Low end depth like Fabbri shouldn't cost a high 2nd. The Jets also likely would not want Fabbri's contract next year.

Imo it makes more sense to trade Lacombe than try to transition him to FWD. As for our next game, I’d put the priority on the development of our young players over a balanced lineup. We’re almost certainly going to lose either way and the points don’t help us. I wouldn’t mess with Zell’s development in any way shape or form. If there isn’t room on the roster for him right now that’s not a problem. He’s a smaller guy, let him keep developing in the AHL

Hidden in your lineup there is one of the reasons why I think it would be a mistake to trade Frankie Vatrano: are we going to be able to sign the needed big-ticket free-agent RhD if in the back of everybody's mind is the thought that Pat Verbeek might just trade him before the contract is up?

15 in 47 and a few years back 17 in 56 games. I'd say hes a 20 goal scorer but if you want to be "technical " yes hes "technically" not hit 20

Imo that’s what trade protections are for. And we don’t at all have a reputation for moving UFAs with term. This would be a rare exception, and one where there’s only one year left. I don’t see that impacting anyone’s decision. That said, I still don’t expect Vatrano to get traded

Love Cam, but he isn’t going to be re-signed, and now he’s blocking guys who development time that are ready for the NHL. And frankly I don’t know that I’ve seen him play worse hockey than this year. I’m cool with letting him find a new home a bit early. And I like Lacombe for a 3LD. He plays the role decently now, wait until he’s in his prime
