    Hawks accept. You know the Oilers are still on the hook for that bonus even if they trade Brown now, right? And the Hawks probably take that Campbell deal to if Buffalo doesn't.

    What exactly is it that you believe EDM gets out of dumping Brown?

    15 million for a first and a prospect and young player might not be worthwhile but who knows our management pretty incompetent but can probably be tricked easily

    Serevalli indicated earlier this year that EDM could move that bonus too. Seen it reported both ways. If true they cannot then dumping Brown doesn’t really make sense.

    Oilers could have moved the bonus if they traded Brown before he played his 10th game. As soon as he played his 10th game, the Oilers had to pay Brown the bonus and they were on the hook for it at that point. If Seravelli said different, he's wrong. Which wouldn't be the first time. So I agree. Paying anything to dump Brown makes no sense.
