Sure but my point is, if you can't make sense of something said on NHL Network, chances are good it's either fantasy or wild speculation. I think you can trust your own sensemaking enough to look at their situation and say "Norris just went down with another injury to the same shoulder he's injured multiple times before after a pretty bad season and a 23-year old Pinto is almost a point-per-game since his return. Chances are they're not looking at moving him."

They got called out for it and admitted to just filling air time lol.

I could almost guarantee he’s not available, I think a lot of it has to do with Ottawas C depth of Stutzle, Norris, Greig and Pinto and looking like there’s one too many. Ottawa will just move Norris to the wing realistically (if he’s even healthy). It would take multiple 1sts in value to get him, basically a Chiarelli trade lol

Malkin would go to wing. (not saying the pens would trade for Pinto)

For the record, Pinto was an absolute Stud at ND. His play in the frozen four was lights out.

Doubt Ottawa moves him any time soon.
