Kinda of a ridiculous statement. Oilers just might be about the same as they are now. And even if McDavid and Draistail leave as UFAs, well there is lots of cap to build around other guys.
Why would any team offer Draisaitl 15.5m?

Buddy overpays Draisaitl by at least 2mil, inexplicably pays Connor Carrick 2.5mil, keeps Kulak, and doesn't increase the cap by the 9mil it'll have increased by and wonders "wHeRe'S tHe DePfF?"

In 25-26 the cap might well be $90 M I guarantee it won’t be 83.5 especially since it is $87 next year
