two guys needing a change of scenery. Dubois has not fit into their dressing room, not a coach's favourite, but can rebound.

  1. Norris, Joshua
Additional Details:
Two guys needing a change of scenery. Norris has injury concerns, but is a legit 30 goal minimum guy, juyst have to sort out his injury history.

DRAFT DAY TRADE

Ottawa send a solid bottom pairing defenseman with a great cap hit who is the better producing defenseman oif the two. JBD is a first round pick with potential to untap. Vegas I believe makes this trade to help save some cap space to re-sign UFA's, and receive a solid 2nd round pick to replenish their draft pick haul.

I used Drysdale, becdause this is his 2nd shoulder injury in as many years. With a 1st rounder Drysdale with his risk involved would be a solid 2nd piece. Ottawa needs a little skill on the RD side. Drysdale hasn't really developed as many had hoped to this point, but he's still a very solid prospect. I think it would be considered for sure

Flyers gave up Gauthier to get Drysdale so they aren't going to give up on him anytime soon. Earliest they would consider maybe trading him would be in the 2025 offseason if he doesn't develop at all.

It would basically work out that you get Chychrun who is way better than Drysdale.... At least in the here and now for sure. Chychrun will bring back a 1st and top prospect from someone... It would be a solid package for a guy like Chychrun.

Chychrun is better now but Drysdale has more potential. Flyers are building for the future and are in no rush to try and make the team better now. Their aim was to be competitive when Michkov comes over so they are in no rush.

OTT would keep norris at 50-60 games over the locker room cancer that is PLD, OTT already has a often injured D in chabot, they dont want another one, the decline PHI trade

Whitecloud, Zach is a very marginal upgrade, if any at all over JBD OTT declines

While I think PLD is better than Norris, I wouldn't want PLD near Celebrini or anyone on this team honestly lol.

Philly trade I'd do all day, I just don't think Philly would give Drysdale AND a 1st for Chych.

The rest of the signings and trades I like, good job. That roster looks beautiful compared to what we have right now.

Considering Noah Hanifin just got traded for a 1st and 3rd (as a rental with maximum retained salary), I can't imagine an extra 50 games of Chychrun is worth a top prospect. If the Flyers are going to make a move on Chychrun it would probably be COL 1st + 3rd + Zamula but even then, I don't see PHI moving 1st round picks for pending UFAs.

1. NO NO NO. Not touching Dubois with a ten foot pole. If Norris overcomes his injury troubles, he's a much much better player. If not, he is on LTIR which allows a lot of cap maneuver

2. Drysdale is young but that is pretty risky. If the Sens brass still have faith in him, it could be doable but it's risky

3. This makes sense but Whitecloud is most likely a contract they want to keep. They'd look to trade a more expensive guy probably.

4. I'd retain on Korpisalo and trade him instead.

Brannstrom also disappeared for nothing. I wouldn't trade Brannstrom for Dubois 1 for 1 just to give you an idea.

Dubois isn't better at all, just a lot more healthier.

Don't agree at all

- Of course, if you win the Celibrini lottery it helps but it relies on luck. Odds are 8.5% as of now

- Norris > Dubois

- Connor Brown is not the same player as before his injury.

- Maroon brings nice experience but he will be 36 y/o... and already so slow

- Whitecloud would be a good acquisition but doubt Vergas would want to move that contract. Drysdale has potential but as of now, huge downgrade on Chychrun, who admittedly, played like crap this season compared to what he can do. Brannstrom also disappeared for nothing, the guy who has the best metrics on Sens D the last 2 seasons combined.

- I really don't see Nedeljkovic as an upgrade over Forsberg although Anton has faced a lot of injury adversity lately

How do you figure? L.A. has to be seeing a player who is being paid as a 1st line center.... providing 3rd line production. I'm not basing this off just my opinion.... Read some of these.... and I will definitely try and factor in that your assesment is likely more accurate.... rarely will you find a hockey fan that can hold a candle to Kings fans.... LMAO....

https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2024/01/kings-rumors-pierre-luc-dubois-emerging.html

Read these articles and you might not think of my assessment as being that fsar fetched. He's among the least productive $8M players in the league. THE ONLY reason I'd consider P-L Dubois is because Norris needs a change of scenery and no one will give Ottawa the value they will need for him. L.A. is in the same boat. Best hope for both teams is to take on someone else's issue player for theirs and hope they can turn it around. If Norris didn't just have shoulder surgery? Not a chance if I'm Ottawa do I trade Norris for P-L Dubois, not without L.A. adding some major serious sweeteners.
