The Blues will be taking a Dman. One can see it coming a light year away. And if Dickinson and Yakemchuk last until 8-9, bet on a trade up. Or at least an attempt to do so.

I would attempt the trade up and if that is not possible, I would rather take Jiricek than Helenius at this range. Definitely more risk with Jiricek, but I think in terms of the player he still has top 4 potential for sure.

If Army does not trade up, I'll be surprised. And annoyed. A bunch of these teams who will pick before us are already loaded to the gills with crazy good D prospects. We should be able to manage at least breaking into the top 10.

I don't see the Flames not selecting Taj. Too much love for Iggy there already

That's interesting, Helenius is having GREAT production in a much better league. I'm not super sold on Jiricek 2.0, at least not offensively. I feel like Helenius and Catton are two guys who could be in the 8-14 range, who are top 3 in re-drafts

Adam Jiricek to the Flyers would feed families

Good work on the mock.

Only gripe is IDK if I can see Greentree going that high, but that might be a personal evaluation of him clouding my vision

I'd also cry if PIT got Buium

Nice list.

Glad that you don't play it safe and make your mocks realistic to real life. I'm glad that you and I are on the same page with Eiserman, Letourneau, and Parekh.

The two that stuck out to me were Boisvert and Emery. I kind of get the Emery hype, but can you explain the reasoning behind Boisvert going top 20?

Its because of his defensive game. He's in a similar situation to Dragicevic.

#13 is tough spot...right on the line where things fall off a little...so trading up or trading back may make sense.

I could see NJD at #9 drop back if they don't trade their pick outright.

I like Greentree...and among the tier/group of forwards (Chernyshov, Brandsegg-Nygard, Boisvert, Greentree, etc), I like him and MBN the best

Boisvert is a big offensive forward, who can shoot, plays well defensively and is a natural center. GM always seem to favor that type...high floor type.

Emery may be a bit more of a project dman, but big, mobile RHD who defends well (and out of the program)...also a favorite by GMs.

If he went a lot higher, it wouldn't surprise me.
Will Scouch had some interesting notes a couple weeks ago on him...seems like his season has been a bit fluky.
Somewhere in 12-24 range sounds about right.

Parekh is playing at a generational offensive pace. Even though his defensive game needs to improve his production on the other end warrants a top 10 pick.

Trade up for Dickinson/Buium/Yakemchuk or trade back a couple spots and take Jiricek. Something like that.

Very well put together draft, I'd be shocked if Iginla was available at the Leafs pick (and even more shocked if we didn't walk away with a defenseman)

Devils would be stupid to keep that pick instead of getting a True #1 goalie but then again our GM is a cluless dude, he needs to step down from GM. Devils need Centers,SIZE and RD other and goalies lots of goalies cuz tyler brennen is BUNS.
