Didn't Markstrom say 'no' to a trade to LAK? (other Calgary fan had said that on here)

Markstrom has a full NMC he can say no to any team.

I haven't heard that he rejected LA. I thought that was rumored to be Ullmark at one point. Obviously any Markstrom deal centers on him accepting a trade to a new team.
I feel like LA would be a good fit for him provided he's willing to go there.

LA declines, Markstrom has up and down seasons is 34 and ripe for decline. LA has spent enough on poor goaltending, they could get Ullmark for less.

Markstrom doesn't want to leave and most of the vets in Calgary don't want that either, it is blocking the path for Wolf but it seems to be what the team wants. As for LA, there are cheaper, younger, and more consistent options without a full NMC.

He waived for New Jersey after Conroy and Fitzgerald had agreed to a trade...but Conroy had to later back out as ownership/management had second thoughts.

Around that time, I recall a Markstrom-to-LAK conversation on here and Calgary fan saying he only waived for NJD.

(I had thought he was only asked to waive for NJD)

Entirely too optimistic a return for a 34 year old goalie who has been inconsistent year over year, has full control over where he goes (see Tarasenko return), and a commands a massive cap hit even with very minor retention.

Quick and easy "No thanks" from LA.

They cant get Ullmark, he literally stopped a trade from going through to LA.

I can’t imagine a team trading for Mangiapane and his near $6m cap hit
