Dude this is how hockey works lol. You’d think if your team hasn’t been any good for a couple of decades and someone from a team that has been good is telling you how to get good you’d listen. We didn’t get good by staying middle of the pack. We were really bad and drafted franchise changing players. Once you are good you trade your firsts and go for cups. It works because we’ve won 5 of them in about a 30 year stretch. Sitting pat means you’re going nowhere.
