Description

After seeing how neutered the Devils were in the most recent game they had againt the Rangers I am shocked...

First 2 of your players are under a big time investigation... I highly doubt yous guys's management did not know anything... (This is conjecture, and I can be very wrong on this point).

I thought this team was going to win it all?
"But we beat you in 7", is that even an impressive feat... You guys got bullied by Carolina... (but we beat them the year before....)?
You guys get battered, cry, battered again (this time ugly), cry, get MacDermid for only have him wacking and yelling at a 21 year olf kid... Pathetic...

Biggest thing I've seen is a lack of clean passes on exits from the dmen.

Also with all the injuries and some departures (Tatar, Mcleod, Boqvist, Wood) it is a much slower forward group. We aren't as good at entering the zone.

Lots of injuries, iffy goaltending. 14.8m bad cap for Palat and Meier.

Palat has been a bright spot.

Meier’s production this year has been awful, but it primarily stems from injuries, and a long term insistence of playing him at LW when he has always been better on the right

He needs to be moved back to RW (he has been the last few games and shocker, he instantly started tearing it up again).

And he has battled through significant injuries this year.

6 mill in cap dump between retention and Johnsson. That’s at least a 2nd there, probably a 2nd+.

Rental price on a guy like that is probably everything but the 1st if you use guentzel comp.

1st for the term on Meier is fine imo. The talent is very clearly still there

Certainly wasn’t a steal, but I’m willing to be patient on him. And he brings an aspect that NJD needed

And if Markstrom is a 0.878 goalie with that, good thing we went for Kahkonen who’s a nearly 0.900 goalie on by far the worst team in hockey

To my knowledge, and mind that I am relatively young still... I cannot remember a year where we were supposed to go all the way... Just to have us miss the playoffs...

One Person his name is Tom Fitzgerald. Started in the offseason and he did nothing to stop the bleeding all year. But our fan base will defend him no matter,it makes me sick. Fitzy needs to be president and let someone else be GM. Fitzy really thought having inexperience depth was such a good move let bruh your a clown.

Yep. Markstrom was elite to start the year. Been mediocre lately. Seems like the incompetent one is the GM who was unable to turn by far the best stretch of markstroms career into any value at all

Aggressive premature moves last year, desperate to contend, unfortunately for pond hockey cup. Oscar Meier & Nosack haven't been the same since Trouba, same with Siev & Bustian. Soft core, leading soft offensive kids and 6 bad Gs.
Weird considering how they were so future thinking, best built contenders ready to outscore any team even without a goalie!!
We heard it NoN sToP loL.
If we were like them, we'd be poking the bear non stop, with these type of posts, considering it was Non Stop...

So your whole stat argument goes out the window if it's luck based anyways. So chalk it up as every NJD goalie is unlucky? Or Fitz is unlucky? Or maybe he's just poor at his job
