Seen similar posts from fans of all Atlantic teams - SENs, Habs, maybe Wings - that missed the playoffs this year, but only 3-5 make it 🤷🏻. I do think Buffalo has the best chances of the teams that missed out this year, but won’t be easy - Atlantic is a beast

Too much for a backup goalie and I think we may need an upgrade for Krebs.

I don’t want to be in same position next year. As good as UPL has been this year, it only has been one year and has been healthy for whole year. Sabres need a solid backup and should be willing to pay.

As for krebs. You obviously don’t watch hockey games if u think can have a better fourth line center then krebs. You can say you would like a different type of player but krebs can be a third line player for half the teams in this league.

He has 1 goal in like his last 30 some games and isn’t a good at faceoffs.

I watch the Sabres and Amerks. You want a good 4th Line C, try N.Sturm.

Krebs is ok, but he’s just keeping the seat warm until Kozak gets there.

I really HATE the Laine idea
Bringing in a good defensive forward makes way more sense imo- Iafallo, Sturm, Lafferty, Trenin, Appleton, etc etc

1- a good backup goalie makes sense to me. UPL isn’t a “sure thing” & we should let Levi be the #1 in AHL to develop

2- Krebs has more offensive talent than half the league, but he’s more suited (imo) for a 2way role than to be in a **** down type role. Getting a good defensive center who can win faceoffs for that role makes a ton of sense

Agree with you. Sabres can probably get a 7m UFA just as good as Laine and keep the first and Rosen.

Columbus takes that, but Buffalo probably doesn't offer. CBJ aren't selling low, and teams aren't going to pay a high price for Laine right now, so I don't think a trade makes any sense.
