1. Pittsburgh wins the draft lottery for the #1 overall pick and selects Macklin Celebrini.


2. Carolina wins the Stanley Cup, but fails to sign Jake Guentzel to an extension.


3. Head Coach Mike Sullivan is replaced with another Head Coach that has a Stanley Cup winning pedigree.


4. Good trades are found for Reilly Smith and Lars Eller


5. Sidney Crosby signs a 3 year extension with a cap hit of no more than 10 million dollars.


6. A quality defensive-minded right shot D and a decent backup for Tristan Jarry are signed from free agency.


7. Owen Pickering and Brayden Yager make the Penguins team out of training camp.

Like a 3% shot at #1 and yet I’ve seen a dozen Celebrini to Pittsburg posts lol you guys are dreaming! Sharks will have the best or 2nd best odds and I’ve split my ACGM between getting and not getting him.

The Hurricanes winning the cup would make it more likely that he signs with the Hurricanes not less... see last years vegas team

On the bright side of things for San Jose, you will likely have at least 3 unconditional 1st round picks for the 2025 draft.

25 supposed to be a pretty deep draft year, so I excited about that but I fear both Vegas and Pittsburgh knowing they don’t have a first wind up all the way into the conference finals or the cup just to piss me off lol

We can give him that almost ($8.49m) and still be able to sign everybody else that we need to so I'd be fine with that
