OTT
  1. Benson, Zach
  2. Greenway, Jordan
  3. Luukkonen, Ukko-Pekka [RFA Rights]
  4. Rosén, Isak
  5. Savoie, Matthew
  6. 2025 1st round pick (BUF)
  7. 2026 2nd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Top 10 protected pick. If Sabres make it to the 2nd round this 2nd pick turns into a 2026 1st

Giving up UPL really hurts with how good he’s been. But to get Tkachuk you gotta do that. Now Sens has a good 1-2 punch in UPL and Korpisalo!
BUF
  1. Forsberg, Anton
  2. Joseph, Mathieu
  3. Norris, Joshua
  4. Tkachuk, Brady
Additional Details:
Norris is injury prone so Sens should be happy to get Savoie for him. Joseph is good but his contract hurts the Sens too much. Greenway only has 1 year left and can give the Sens the grit that they lose in Tlachuk.

For Tkachuk you get a guarranteed 1st pick and 2nd were the 2nd pick could turn into another 1st. You get 2 good, young wingers in Rosén and Benson. You get a really good talent in UPL.

Also Ottawa free up alot of cap so they can sign some nice free agents

That's why you're not getting Savoie for Norris lol

Take out Joseph, Norris, Savoie and Greenway and both teams accept.

Sabres are not doing this. Tkachuk is clearly best player in the deal, but rest may be all Sabres.

Couple thoughts- savoie has missed time with shoulder injuries, and his wjc was disappointing, likely because he was playing through a different injury. Speaking of injury concerns. I would love a Brady Tkachuk here, whatever the real life cost is, the Sabres won't pay it. I would hardly call the Sabres season a runaway success story, but the success they have had, has been because upl has been their best player (obviously the teams commitment to defense has allowed upl to play with confidence, that commitment to d has cut both ways, but that's another story). I don't see the Sabres throwing a bunch of high end prospects and picks, plus upl, at a skill set like Tkachuk.

1) Sabres don't even consider doing this
2) Sens aren't trading Brady
3) Joseph's contract does not hurt the Sens

If in some imaginary world where the Sens were willing to trade Brady to the Sabres, I think it would probably look something like BUF 2024 1st round pick (top 10) and one of the Sabres good young players/prospects. (Ostlund, Peterka, Quinn, Benson)

I think they would get more. Not sure how many teams could offer a top ten pick and a young player with top 10 pick value (benson, Quinn, savoie), or mid first value (kulich, ostlund), but I don't think it's too many. The Sabres have other players that I would say have early second value- (ryan johnson, Rosen, Wahlberg, strbak) that could also be added, I don't see the sens winning the trade, but that's good pieces going back.
