Brannstrom is gonna cost more than 1m. If that’s all it took to re sign him Ottawa would just keep him. Also, why would Ottawa add a 4th too? You’re getting the better, younger player?

Sens decline tbh. But why not resign Marty? He's better than Silf defensively and potentially offensively too. He's an underrated part of the system here.

branny isn’t taking a pay cut lmao, only reason for the Sens to move him is if he prices himself out of their range

How does a guy playing 16 mins a night despite chabot missing 25 games for one of the worst teams in the league price himself out of anything?

Are the Pens trying to create a roster of AARP members? Staal is going strong after all these years though.

Fast is the better player, and Ottawa are DESPERATE for bottom six help. Fast is undeniably the more valuable asset between the two

I think you overrate fast and underrate Brannstrom personally. Fast is useful, but he’s 32 and his production has gone down this year. He’s capable defensively which Ottawa would covet, but there not gonna throw away Brannstrom and a pick for him. I’d give you the 4th for Fast, not much else.

Fast's production has dropped, fair enough, but he's still one of the best defensive wingers in the NHL. He's 32 so there isn't issues of suddenly falling off a cliff, and Brannstrom has struggled to consistently get into the Sens lineup, who have been a trash defensive team. You're overrating Brannstrom and underrating Fast imo. I wouldn't move Fast for a 4th, there would need to be another piece and a stopgap 3RD to fill the gap until Heimosalmi was ready seemed like the idea.

doesn’t seem likely! which is why I’m excited for another season of Branny in Ottawa next year
