how to make you team worse 101!
get rid of Dri so Mcdavid leaves the next year!
Get Saros as a rental for DRi he leaves the next year1
Trade for a young center that even a rebuilding team doesnt seem to want!
Give maroon 1.2 Million even though he has not gotten more than league min for like 5 years!
Hey Dylan you have done really nothing in the NHL lets give you 1.8M
I Like debrusk but 6M is a bit high
and the icing is you have not included brown/perry bonus money. 2-3M

Anaheim has no real interest in any of those three youngsters. LhD is our deepest position, Nathan Gaucher is a better prospect than Lavoie and Cutter Gauthier is a MUCH better prospect than Savoie, so that package plus a second-half first wouldn't be close to persuading us to part with Trevor Zegras even if Edmonton were in a different division.

I can't imagine where this came from. Trevor Zegras is a teammates' favorite, a coaches' favorite, and a fan favorite.

And where did you get that deluded impression from, exactly?

I am not saying he's not a favorite there at all. but with rumors' management wanted to move him around the deadline and still might in the summer.. you would have to wonder why that is even a consideration given his age and where the ducks are at, and as you put it is a favorite or the fans team and coach.... doesn't add up where there is smoke there is usually fire.

The only "rumors" that have been enunciated about Trevor Zegras have come from hordes of wishful thinkers on CapFriendly who realize what an addition he would be to their teams and have conflated his injury-riddled 2023-2024 season with the fantasy that he might be available cheaply. No credible reporter has asserted that Anaheim management* has ever even entertained the thought of trading Zegras, and the only "smoke" that might exist comes from the consumption of recreational substances.

* It is true that Pat Verbeek has admitted that a couple of GMs have called him hoping to take advantage of him due to Z's trade value being at its lowest point.

And Lebrun added (based on multiple ANA sources) that Verbeek never brought up Zegras in a single discussion with another GM.

And even if he did want to shop him, this trade wouldn’t even be close to considered

lets not also forget the multiple articles on TSN, Sportsnet, The athletic, hockey news, as well as the countless discussion on it live on air and radio and podcast.... I guess those are the wishful thinkers from cap friendly and dabbling in a little recreational substances... and yes lets believe everything an NHL GM says about a potential trade... no one comes out and goes yeah we tried to trade this guy...

I subscribe to both The Athletic and The Hockey News and I've probably read most if not all of the "multiple articles" to which you refer and not one of them has said that the Ducks are approaching other teams about Zegras, but just the opposite.

"Countless discussions" on gossip shows always turn out to be "I hear" nonsense without a shred of actual support.

But the credulous are the fertile ground of the click-seeders.

As you become more sophisticated, you'll learn the difference between sound and noise.

You will learn you have no concept between sound and noise because you don't work in the industry either. People on this site, you included, have 0 inside information or real knowledge of anything that is actually discussed behind closed doors.

so I read and heard there was potential and you heard the opposite, so why is my any less credible than yours since they are coming from the same sources...

I am entitled to my opinion and you yours, at least I have the respect for other people in this world than to resort to insults and childish behavior. Share you opinions and try not to degrade someone else just so you may feel superior in some way.

What you read into a story and what I read in a story isn't a matter of subjective opinion, it's a matter of objective truth.

hmmmm sorry have to disagree with you there. As neither of us have any inside information. We have both never had a conversation with someone behind closed doors heading up to a trade deadline, we both don't work in any capacity in the NHL we are left with our subjective opinion. any thought other wise is nonsense as we really have no idea what the real truth is.
