The Sabres don't have much for right shot d, there's just jokiharju and Clifton. I can see the Sabres moving on from jokiharju, but Carrick in ufa would be more interesting from the Oilers bottom 6.

Montreal is going to aim for playoffs next season.
Perhaps a lofty goal, but they could get closer in the off-season.
Savard won't be moved until they know where they stand, which hopefully won't be before next year's deadline.

His value won't be clear until closer to that point in time and neither will his availability.

Buffalo says yes in a heart beat!! Can I interest you in Samuelsson instead of Jokiharju?? Just works better for Buffalo. I'd do Samuelsson for McLeod straight up.
