The issue here is trying to have this debate. As a canes fan, I’ve the named party as part of the subsection of Canes fans on here on my own ignore list.

We've already been through this man, all you did was cry about point pace and he's a better skater and then double down saying Necas was better than Caufield at everything listed as CC being better at.

Basic tenant in the league, the younger, better point producer, that's signed long term is more valuable than the other guy.

He was put with Pettersson to get him going so that last line is a bit misleading Garland has mostly played with Joshua and Blueger/Suter.

But yeah over the rest of the contract KK is more valuable in this season alone. I'd say Garland.

As I pointed out to you on the other thread which you ignored, Garland has played 1 game with Hoglander and Pettersson. His linemates for the majority of the season have been Joshua and Blueger up until Joshua got injured. After that his most common linemates have been Suter, Lindholm (who’s struggled with the Canucks), Podkolzin, and Mikheyev

Meanwhile KK’s most common lines this year are Bunting-KK-Necas, Teravainen-KK-Necas, Necas-KK-Svech, and Teravainen-KK-Svech. Those are significantly better than Garland’s linemates

Necas is about to be signed longer than Caufield is, so has more control, and this is the only season Caufield has had comparable totals to Necas, let alone outproducing him. And it's not even a certainty Caufield will end the season outproducing Necas. Caufield has 5 more points in 4 more games. Necas can easily make that up, and let's not forget here, Necas is the better two way player, more complete player, and better skater.

Kotkaniemi's most common linemates since the conclusion of the first 20 games where he was at a point per game pace has been Fast and Teuvo. Would you rather play with Fast and Teuvo or Lindholm and Suter? Come on...

Necas plays in a better defensive system with better defensive players, he should be better defensively.

And let's not forget that Cole is still younger and is actually playing against other teams top lines and d pairs. He doesn't have the luxury of playing behind Aho, Guentzel and Svech.

Necas is the go-to guy... what are you talking about? He plays with Svechnikov and Kuznetsov, behind Jarvis and Guentzel... he plays all situations (something Caufield doesn't) and plays against top quality defensive pairs and lines anyway. His speed is half of the Canes offense for christ sake, all you're showing me is that you are completely unfamiliar with Necas

At the end of the day they are similar players. Yes Caufield has the higher value. Both electric offensive players, who suck at defense. Necas has more of an all around offensive ability, and Caufield has a ridiculous scoring ability. Wont be surprised at all when he puts up 40+ goals next season.
