Hawks easily decline. That package might cover dumping Graves, although I doubt the Hawks want that contract anyway. Still need to add to pay for Kurashev.

Carolina easily refuses that pick swap. They trade DOWN from the 1st round to the 2nd round and ADD a 5th to boot? That makes zero sense. And no GM in the league is giving the Pens anything for Graves and that contract. Dubas has two options to get rid of Graves. Attach assets to dump him or buy him out.

The Hurricanes trade is literally the conditions on the Guentzel trade...
