I could absolutely see Carolina doing a deal like this during the offseason to replace UFA defensemen. I don't hate it, but I think they'll pursue a RHD as opposed to Lindgren as that is a bigger need than a LHD with Slavin and Orlov already signed.

Rangers pass on all three. Arizona trade is absurd, trading Lindgren is laughable, and Kakko isn't going anywhere.

Like the logic, but the execution is bad here. Orlov's the Skjei replacement, and with Nikishin less than a year away, there's no need for another LD long term. A RD would be more ideal, and there's just not a fit there. Fox is obviously a no, Carolina want no part of Trouba, and Schneider's probably a little too rich for a deal like this

Wings say no. Berggren can produce just as much as Kakko has and would come in cheaper and wings would like to retain veleno as a 4C that can move up to play 3C if need be.

You're trading a 2020 fifth rounder and a 2019 2nd rounder... If you consider that "absurd" to dump $3.5 million for three more years after this season then what are you even doing on this forum

Doing whatever I please, got a problem with that? Rangers can easily buy out Goodrow if they want cap space and give up zero prospects, especially one that is developing as nicely as Berard, so go learn about hockey before you post more nonsense.
